Overview
At Public Assembly, we strive to ensure customer satisfaction with all purchases and event registrations. This policy outlines our refund and return procedures for different types of products and services.
Event Registration Refunds
Tournament Entry Fees
- More than 48 hours before event: Full refund minus processing fee (5% or $2, whichever is greater)
- 24-48 hours before event: 50% refund
- Less than 24 hours before event: No refund
- No-show: No refund
Event Cancellation
If we cancel an event, participants will receive:
- Full refund of entry fees
- Option to transfer registration to another event
- Refunds processed within 5-7 business days
Trading Card Returns
Sealed Products
- Unopened products: Returnable within 30 days with receipt
- Opened products: Not eligible for return or refund
- Pre-orders: Cancellable until 48 hours before release date
Single Cards
- Condition disputes: Must be reported within 48 hours of receipt
- Grading discrepancies: We will review with photo evidence
- Wrong cards shipped: We will replace or refund immediately
- All single card sales are final unless we made an error
Card Condition Standards
We grade cards according to industry standards:
- Near Mint (NM): Minimal wear, suitable for competitive play
- Lightly Played (LP): Slight wear, fully playable
- Moderately Played (MP): Moderate wear, tournament legal
- Heavily Played (HP): Heavy wear but tournament legal
Merchandise Returns
General Merchandise
- Returnable within 30 days with tags attached
- Must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition
- Original receipt required
- Refund issued in original payment method
Gaming Accessories
- Unopened items: 30-day return policy
- Opened items: 14-day return if defective
- Playmats, sleeves, and deck boxes: Final sale once opened
Digital Products
Digital products, including:
- Online tournament entries
- Digital gift cards
- Downloadable content
Are non-refundable once delivered or redeemed.
Return Process
In-Store Returns
- Bring item and receipt to our location
- Items inspected by staff
- Refund processed immediately upon approval
Online Purchase Returns
- Contact us at hello@publicassemb.ly for RMA number
- Ship item back with RMA number visible
- Customer pays return shipping unless we made an error
- Refund processed within 5-7 business days of receipt
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive damaged or defective items:
- Contact us within 48 hours of receipt
- Provide photos of damage/defect
- We will arrange replacement or full refund
- Return shipping covered by Public Assembly
Special Circumstances
Medical Emergencies
For tournament registration refunds due to medical emergencies, please contact us with documentation for consideration outside standard policy.
Prize Support
Prize credit and store credit:
- Non-refundable and non-transferable
- No cash value
- Expires 1 year from issue date
